Wage subsidy for small and medium businesses

The Government of Canada has released further details on the Wage Subsidy program. You can read the details here.

 

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today announced more help for small and medium-sized businesses to keep employees on the payroll during the COVID-19 crisis, including a 75 per cent wage subsidy and guaranteed interest-free loans.

The Minister of Finance has not released any additional details on the 75% wage subsidy announced today, just that “details are coming”.  CBC reports that further details will be released for Monday.

We encourage you to keep an eye on the Ministry of Finance website as they will announce the details there first. We will also update our post, and our main COVID-19 resource post as soon as we hear anything as well.
